One of the core pillars of this release is the new threading model, designed to fully leverage modern multi-core architectures. Now using multiple threads for each terrain tile for high generation performance, the results are striking:

The modifier system has been rebuilt in a modern, high-performance processing pipeline architecture, allowing parallel execution of modifiers.
The result: lower memory usage and higher performance without requiring any project changes.

New Terrain Mesh System:

Now offering a broader choice of different mesh systems to better match your project requirements:

  • Chunk Mesh System – Previous system which recursively divides the cells for incisions based on a regular grid
  • Maritime Mesh System – Specially designed for processing nautical charts
  • The new Delaunay Mesh System – a new optimized system based on Delaunay triangulation
    • Fewer triangles when cutting
    • Faster processing
    • Up to 90% lower memory usage

Rail Infrastructure Support:

Trian3DBuilder 9.0 also extends its capabilities to professional railway infrastructure modeling. Key features include:

  • Rails with 3D profile and track bed
  • Switches with open/closed status
  • Support for tunnels, bridges, and railroad crossings
  • Transitions to roads without track beds and flat rails for trams
  • Overhead lines

Rail traffic logic can be exported to OpenDRIVE and railML (version 3.3)
As a member of railML.org, TrianGraphics supports standardized data exchange for rail systems.

Building Modifier Enhancements:

The Building Modifier has been extended to provide greater flexibility in building generation.

  • Facade textures can now be adjusted per side using Local Overrides 
  • Material tags in the Library allow assigning equally tagged elements from material groups, ensuring a consistent look across building levels
