Trian3DBuilder Major Release. Discover What’s New!
We are pleased to announce the latest release of our database generation system Trian3DBuilder, version 8.0. Watch a video about its main new features here.
Trian3DBuilder 8.0 is packed with new features that will increase productivity and flexibility for all users. A new automation workflow has been introduced, including a project wizard, advanced scripting and a generation core running in Linux containers. The entire core system has been updated with the latest third-party libraries, improving both performance and security. Several new ADAS platforms have been added, including object labeling and sensor material support. Unreal engine support is now more flexible and versatile
New Project Wizard:
To improve your workflow, we’ve completely redesigned the Wizard, which comes with a browser font-end and is now powered by Lua scripting.
It helps you set up new projects quickly by importing GIS data from different sources for specific areas or along routes. You can add different images, such as ground textures, satellite images or land cover, and combine data from various sources and formats, making the setup process faster and more flexible
Updated Lua Scripting:
The Lua scripting has been updated with an enhanced interface. Practical examples for project setup, Modifier adjustment, library enhancement and vector data manipulation are included. Every Wizard functionality can also be achieved through Lua scripting, giving you a great deal of flexibility and control.
Automation with TrianScript & TrianBuild (Optimized for Docker Containers):
You can run your Lua scripts from the command line using TrianScript to automate your complex workflows. Create a sophisticated project for a given area by importing geodata from different sources and manipulating the project. Generate the new project with TrianBuild locally, on the server or in the cloud to get a new 3D scene map in a fully automated workflow.
Both tools work on Windows and Linux and can be run inside a Docker container.
New Data Package: Additional Examples and Projects:
This new version includes a new data package containing new models and textures with additional examples and projects. All data has been optimized for use on Linux.
Object and Material Classification:
Object labeling and material classification for the sensor view are now available, providing greater flexibility for different tools and formats, with a mapping table to translate to any target platform.
This includes a new Modifier Object Type for defining object classification and a new material attribute for material classification.
Specific support for ADAS tools:
We’ve added specific support for automotive simulation tools such as IPG CarMaker, dSpace Aurelion, Hexagon VTD and Vector DYNAanimation.
Improved Unreal Engine Support:
The Unreal Engine specific import plugin has been improved to support multiple PBR maps. You can now organize your projects more flexibly during the import process by specifying targets and subfolders.
