The latest release of Trian3DBuilder comes with new features, export formats, performance and code base improvements:
In addition to the new FBX exporter optimized for Unity®, we have achieved a seamless integration with Titan Vanguard and VBS. OpenStreetMap format is now directly loaded from online servers, and one-way roads are automatically fixed with an offset. An improved height brush and best matching algorithms to place buildings on footprints complete the feature set of version 6.5. Furthermore, Trian3DBuilder has been updated to OpenSceneGraph 3.4.1.
Our Team has been working hard to offer the best integration between Trian3DBuilder and Unity® in this release. The Autodesk FBX Exporter has been enhanced with attribute templates (e.g. for material descriptions) and import scripts to provide a fast and easy workflow between the platforms. A script to create Clutter grass has been developed and can be applied in Unity® to marked surfaces in Trian3DBuilder.Several road generation improvements can help you import lane-based road data, for example HERE RDF or OpenStreetMap. A new import feature adds more precision to one-way roads by adding a center line offset. Furthermore, OpenStreetMap data can now be loaded directly from an online server.
Due to our partnership with Calytrix Technologies, Trian3DBuilder supports the simulation environment Titan Vanguard to import and export geo-referenced 3D models.We have optimized the Height Brush Tool to work faster and more accurate. It further supports loading of bitmaps as brush shapes to interactively sculpt the terrain in 2D/3D and modify existing or generate new elevation maps.
